I haven't had a pet in over ten years, so last week when I noticed a black kitten sitting on the couch, I was a little shocked. We named him Nero.

I find the brightness of the sofa around him takes away our attention from the eyes a little bit, but yet it contrasts brilliantly with the pitch black fur. I think you've found just the right compromise between the two and that your timing with taking it with that pose was just right. Well done.

well he was kinda of scared because it was the first time he saw the camera, but now he is warming up to it.

His name is Nero. The photo was shot in colour and changed to black and white.
